Marc Bech

His passion for cinema led him to study at ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya), where he graduated with a specialization in sound.

He began his career at the Sonoblok studio in Barcelona, where he had the opportunity to learn from two of his first mentors: renowned mixers Ricard Casals and Marc Orts.

In 2011, he joined the team of sound designer Oriol Tarragó as a sound editing assistant, working on acclaimed productions such as The Impossible (J.A. Bayona) and Enemy (Denis Villeneuve). Since then, Tarragó has become his greatest mentor and source of inspiration.

At the same time, at just 23 years old, he began developing his career as a sound designer in various Spanish productions.

Since then, he has worked as a sound designer and supervisor on numerous projects. In 2013, after an intense collaboration with Oriol Tarragó, he co-founded Coser y Cantar Estudio, a company in which he remains a partner.

To date, he has received two nominations for the prestigious Golden Reel Awards and has won one Goya Award (Tres) and one Golden Reel (Society of the Snow).

Beyond his work in film, in 2015, he began teaching film sound at ESCAC, and since 2018, he has served as head of the department in that specialty within the institution.
